Lourdes Health Publishes 2024 Community Benefit Report

Lourdes Health today published its community benefit report for the 2024 calendar year. The annual report outlines the various ways the hospital continues to invest in the health and economic vitality of the Tri-Cities as part of its mission of making communities healthier®.
“For more than 108 years, Lourdes Health has been proud to call Pasco our home, and as a leader in our community, we are continually seeking ways to make a positive impact for those we serve,” said David Elgarico, Market President, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) pf Trios Health and Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lourdes Health. “This year’s report underscores our ongoing commitment to providing the highest quality care possible – both inside and outside our hospital walls.”
Lourdes Health’s 2024 community benefit report highlights its continued efforts to meet the growing healthcare needs of its community through welcoming new providers, expanding service lines and continually investing in its facilities and healthcare technology. For example, in 2024, Lourdes Health added 26 employed and independent providers in in behavioral health, emergency medicine, gastroenterology, infectious disease, oncology, orthopedic surgery, pathology, pediatric cardiology, radiation oncology, radiology and general surgery; and made nearly $1.9 million in capital improvements, including construction of a sterile compounding room and clean storage room, and the addition of two modern hot water boilers at Lourdes Behavioral Health.
Additionally, Lourdes Health donated more than $24.7 million in health services to those in need, demonstrating its continuous commitment to ensuring everyone has access to care, regardless of their ability to pay.
Lourdes Health is also devoted to creating environments where providers want to practice, and employees want to work. In 2024, the hospital distributed more than $61,546,796 in salaries, wages and benefits for its approximately 650 employees; while contributing more than $168,902 in professional development and tuition assistance so all its employees can have the opportunity to learn, grow and improve the care they provide their patients.
Last year, the organization paid $8,612,628 in local and state taxes, while also continuing its support of local activities and organizations committed to serving the region, including Benton Franklin County Fair and Rodeo, Boys & Girls Club of Benton & Franklin Counties, Chaplaincy Health Care, Columbia Basin College, Grace Clinic, NAMI WALKS Your Way, Senior Life Resources, Senior Times Expo, Therapeutic Riding of Tri-Cities (TROT) & United Way of Benton & Franklin Counties.
